We raise our homegrown beef from start to finish with you in mind. Our business model is to do as much of the work for you as we can so that you don't have to. We do our best to make sure that you have the easiest, most convenient experience possible.

Reserve Your Beef

Our processing dates are scheduled months in advance. We require a deposit  to reserve your Half or Whole Beef order. It's $500 to reserve a Half and $800 to reserve a Whole.The deposit is NOT an additional fee, and will be deducted from the order total.  Once your reservation is made, we can move on to the next step- customizing your order.

Fill Out Your Cut Sheet

Our processor provides custom processing. This means YOU get to choose how your Half or Whole is cut up. We'll provide you with a Cut Sheet that is used to make your selections.
We are more than happy to help you choose the best cuts to suit your family's needs, and walk you through the entire Cut Sheet over a phone call.

Delivery

It's time to load up and head to the processor. Your beef will hang/age for 14 days before cut and packaging. We bring all orders back to the farm, weigh your beef and count your cuts. This step helps ensure all orders are as they should be. Next, we'll contact you for the best time to personally deliver straight to your freezer. Delivery is FREE within 100 miles.

Pricing

The price of a Half or Whole is based on the hanging weight of the carcass, or hot weight. Currently our Half & Whole Beef is priced at $5.25 per pound hanging weight.


What is Hanging Weight?

The hot carcass weight with head, hide, and organs removed. 


Pricing Breakdown by Weight- $5.25 x (pounds of hanging weight)

If a Half has a hanging weight of 325 pounds, it will cost $1,706.25. If the hanging weight is 403 pounds, the price for that Half is $2,115.75. Likewise, if a Whole hangs at 750 pounds it will cost $3,937.50.

We target 375 pounds hanging weight for our halves, but every animal is unique, and this means our cattle weights and therefore total price will vary. Each order comes from ONE individual animal, and our cattle vary in  finished size and weight.


Factors that can effect weight, or the ability to gain weight in free ranging cattle: 

Environmental factors such as rainfall/drought can affect grass growth and hay production. Stress from weather extremes like heat & drought. The age or weight when beef calves are weaned. Genetics can also play a role-larger vs smaller framed cattle. As a result, our cattle weights fluctuate with the extremes however, most of our Halves hang between 325 and 400 pounds. That allows us to give you a typical price range between $1,700 and $2,100 for a Half Beef, but weight cannot be guaranteed.
